Privacy and Local Game Progress

You can play without an account. Game progress is stored in this browser, not in a player account on our server.

What is saved on your device

The game uses localStorage under the key sizewise.v1, retained from the project’s original name for compatibility. It holds up to 180 recent runs, including answers, UTC dates and personal endless bests. This lets you resume a daily game and revisit missed comparisons.

Clearing this site’s browser storage removes that history. Private browsing and storage restrictions can also prevent progress from being saved. There is no automatic backup, account recovery or cross-device sync.

What the application sends

This version has no built-in analytics or advertising service and does not upload gameplay history. It emits local browser events for possible future measurement, but the application does not transmit those events. Fonts and map files are served with the site; playing does not call an external map API.

The hosting provider may process ordinary request logs, such as IP addresses, under its own policies. Local game storage does not mean that visiting a website produces no network requests.

What sharing includes

You choose whether to copy a result or link, open a social platform, or use your device’s share sheet. Nothing is automatically posted. Links can include the game, question IDs or a challenge seed, a shared score and daily date, and generic platform and share-type tags. They do not include a name, account identifier or unique player tracking ID.

Shared text and downloaded cards contain the result you choose to share. Cards include a QR code for the playable link; add the link separately to your caption for people on the same device. Opening a platform sends the selected sharing content to that service, which applies its own privacy policy.

If the site changes

Analytics, advertising or account features would require this notice and any necessary consent controls to be reviewed before they are enabled. None of those services is part of the current application.
