Compare states, provinces and prefectures
Try the places you know a little closer to home.
The US, Japan, China and Brazil have a daily ten-question game. Canada and Australia start with five-question practice.
Country size quizzes by continent
Five questions from one part of the world. No daily deadline.

A size game,
not a memory test
The names are shown on the cards. You do not need to recognise a country’s outline to play.
The world set includes 181 countries and selected territories with mapped areas of at least 2,000 km². Antarctica and smaller places are excluded; this is not a complete list of sovereign countries.
How we measure and display area ↗About the answers
Areas come from Natural Earth map boundaries, not official land-area or total-area statistics.
Island groups keep their source arrangement. The empty space between islands does not count toward area.
Game modes and sharing explained ↗Before your next round
What does “bigger” mean in this game?
Area, not population. The answers use approximate areas from map boundaries, which can differ from official land-area or total-area figures.
Why do the outlines start at similar sizes?
Each outline fits its own card, so its display size is not a clue. After your answer, both maps use a shared area scale.
When does the daily challenge change?
At 00:00 UTC. Players starting the same version get the same ten questions. A round already in progress keeps its original set.
Can I keep playing after the daily game?
Yes. Try endless mode, switch to another map set, or revisit missed comparisons in My progress. No account is needed; history stays in this browser.
